As a magician, I applaud this. Of course, every magician knows that the more someone thinks they understand how reality works, the more there is of which to take advantage, to deceive. Numbers and tables are especially good for this, so I wonder how people would use these sorts of visualizations to deceive when they are fully understood by consumers of this sort of information.
