Excellent piece. I think the sort of self-hate these men feel is rooted in the same forces that make them hate women, and that make women undervalue themselves. The value of feminism is that while it liberates women from stifling norms, it does the same for men. Men who feel they have little value are likely using a dysfunctional value system that relies on gendered qualities that aren’t really important in the big picture. The solution is more feminism, not less.
